Primal Banana Bread

New obsession! This is amazing. After making this for the first time, I had to make another batch immediately after, because it simply disappeared (well, you know, everyone ate it… fast!). A no-grains treat, and here is something that I think makes it even better: Cashew butter (check the ingredients list on the jar: there is no need for it to contain anything other than Cashews! No additives, no sugar. Remember!) as a spread on top of your slice.

You need:

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup butter – melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 well repined bananas


1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

2. Combine the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Almond flour, baking powder, sea salt and chopped walnuts.

3. break eggs into another bowl, and lightly whisk until the eggs are completely broken up.

4. mash the bananas

5. add the bananas and melted butter to the egg mix

6. pour the egg mix into the dry ingredients, and gently fold until the mix evenly comes together

7. transfer into a lightly buttered loaf tin

8. bake for around 30 mins
